Finding Destiny was never meant to be a holiday romance, but it just kind of turned out that way. The first line of the story happens to start with, “I absolutely hate Valentine’s day.” Of course that’s a little harsh. The entire story is actually centered around three ladies who wanted to go away and pamper themselves for Valentine’s weekend to avoid the stress of the holiday while being single, but what ends up happening is their piece of shit truck breaks down during a huge snowstorm in the middle of nowhere and three knights in shining armour come to their rescueâon snowmobiles.

When he pressed his lips in her hair, she knew she was a goner. With nothing but a kiss and a few small facts about his family life, she had fallen for him. And she couldnât even hide it.
âThank you for this,â she whispered. Why had she voiced her thoughts? She wished she could take it back, because Skylar knew she wasnât talking only about saving her from a snow cloud.
Then Skylar chuckled, and his desirous voice tickled her ear, making her quickly forget about her embarrassment. âYou donât have to thank me, Destiny. I only do what I want, and right now I want to be here with you.â

ARC’s of Beautifully Broken went out a matter of days ago and reviews are already starting to come in! I thought I’d share part of the Prologue with you today. If you’ve read the first story in the series, Finding Destiny, you’ll recognize that this Prologue takes you back into the story, giving you the inside scoop of what happens when Matt, Felicia and Natalie take off to rescue Natalie’s truck from a snow bank.
My hands are freezing. It feels like my fingers might fall off if I donât finish this job soon. Itâs funny what a little bit of pussy can do to a man. Felicia has me eating out of the palm of her hand. She wants her friendâs truck fixed. Iâm a mechanic. It only follows that I fix the truck, get her friend on the road and get Felicia and her wild ways back in my bed.
I am so eager to get her alone again that I agree to an onsite visit. I open the door to my truck and the three of us cram in. I shift her into four-by-four and we set off past the place where Iâd met Felicia a matter of hours earlier. (more…)
This may or may not make you feel any better about that. It’s Valentine’s day. It’s Friday. My husband works every Friday night. Of course, Valentine’s day is not a real holiday, so we don’t actually get to take the day off, and I’m not even sure that the hubby would were it an optional thing. Money over matter. Isn’t that how the saying goes? đ
Anyways, when I’m done work at 5:00, I won’t be going home to do myself up in anticipation of my hot date tonight. I won’t be looking extraordinarily fabulous, so I can go out with my friends and act like I’m absolutely wonderful on my own. In fact, when my hubby gets home, I’ll probably have already slipped into something a little more comfortable. By comfortable, I mean the fuzzy, super warm pjs my mom got me for Christmas. Nothing sexy about them… unless you think powder blue plaid is sexy. Bahaha. If you do, then you have other issues.
Oh, great. Now I’m starting to feel bad for my hubby. How the hell did that happen? Should I really rethink my choice of pajamas? It’s not that I don’t have a lovely hoard of silky, lacy things that leave nothing to the imagination. But I’m not the 20 year old, hot little thing I once was, and my hubby is not the buff, mysterious, sex machine he was when I met him. (more…)

Incredible read! I am Destiny in a nutshell; with the exception of the job loss, fantastic spa retreat, and slutty friend. Oh, and I’ve been stranded in the snow, but hot guys on snowmobiles did not come to my rescue lol. All that aside, I definitely connected with a girl lonely on Valentines day, who gave up on love, and just wanted to relax with her girls and find direction. If that’s ever been you then this book is a must read. Or if you’re looking for a new book boyfriend Skylar is grade A prime choice angus steak! đ
