Trust Me, Ma Cherie. You won’t want to miss this one.

I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to read a beta version of WALLS by Alex Jones, a fellow indie author who is resident in Ontario, Canada.  Walls is a very well written psychological thriller and has an anticipated release date of December, 2013.  Check out my book review and pay Alex a visit for more information. 18732882

REVIEW:

My head is spinning right now. There’s tears in my eyes, fear in my heart and this story is not even close to being over. Just wow!! This author, in his debut release, magically weaves a plot that leaves you wondering what is going to happen next, lets you inside the heads of each of the characters, and slowly unfolds the reasons why each of them are the way they are.

This story follows the lives of two couples who are at different stages in their lives and relationships. Both couples are married, with significant issues, on entirely different levels, from one crumbling marriage to another built on fear.

Philippe and Francesca, who manage a nudist resort in Palm Springs, have suffered childhood traumas, including murder, rape and suicide, which are sadly just some of the reasons that have caused them to dissociate and hide behind barriers within their minds. Building those walls seemed like the only way they had survived their dark, haunting memories, and protected themselves from self-destruction. But for how long can one keep that bottled up?

Dan and Chelley to the contrary lead much simpler lives. Dan, a psychologist, convinces his wife, Chelley, to join him on a nudist vacation, in hopes of putting the spark back in their marriage. Chelley wants Dan to be more romantic, but all of Dan’s efforts go unnoticed. When Chelley meets the handsome, charming Frenchman, Philippe, she’s smitten and Philippe is no less captivated by her. With her walls crashing down around her, she opens her mind and instils trust in her fast friends at the resort. But when Dan makes a decision without affording Chelley the opportunity to give her input, their relationship is instantly driven between a rock and a hard place.

Swinging, spanking and nudism. It’s all in there. “Yeow Chelly!” But when their real life fantasies turn into a nightmare, all of their limits will be put to the test. A slew of events happen right when you get the slight feeling of satisfaction, leaving you wanting nothing but more. I cannot wait for the next instalment in this trilogy!!

WARNING: This story contains BDSM, and Fifty Shades was a walk in the park compared to what you’re going to get here.
